I played a wild, mad man who shot everyone, had a mistress and tortured Charlton Heston. At the end Heston shoots me with a sawn-off shotgun, knocking me several feet through the air. After we did that scene, Heston said to me: 'That'll teach you to tangle with the leading man.'
