The following memory is from a postcard that I received from the great stage/screen actress Julie Harris. Harris appeared with Pleasence in the 1973 COLUMBO mystery movie Any Old Port In A Storm. Very special thanks to Ms. Harris for taking time to pay tribute to the "Man with the Hypnotic Eye."





Dear Mr. Weedman:

Thank you for your letter.

I adored Donald Pleasence and wished we could have acted in a play together. His energy and temperament were terrific, and I use to watch from the side of the set whenever he and Peter Falk did a scene together--they enjoyed playing together. It was fun to watch them spar off each other--Donald always did the unexpected. He was exciting and frighteningly real. And he was so elegant--a brilliant actor.
